Mary is an award-winning author and speech-language pathologist with a passion for helping children express themselves with confidence. She blends decades of clinical expertise with a gift for storytelling to create books that support language development and spark imagination.

Mary holds a B.A. in Elementary Education and an M.A. in Speech Pathology. Since 1988, she has owned and operated her own private practice. Prior to that, she worked at the Hearing and Speech Center at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., where she provided evaluations and therapy, coordinated speech therapy services for the CNMC school, and served as a consultant in the Learning Disabilities Clinic.

Her extensive experience also includes teaching children with severe language delays—from preschool through high school—in the Los Angeles County Schools.

In addition to her private practice, Mary is now serving as a consultant to the speech therapy team at Imagine That Therapy, where she provides clinical guidance and fosters collaboration to ensure the highest quality of care.
