Devin McGrath
Lead Special Education Teacher

Devin is originally from the Philadelphia area and earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Special Education, and American Studies from La Salle University in 2017. She went on to complete her master’s degree in Special Education Intervention at Winthrop University in 2021.
In July 2017, Devin relocated to Washington, D.C., where she began working at a special education public charter school in Southeast DC, serving students with complex educational, medical, and communication needs. She has presented at several conferences, including the 2019 ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) Convention, where she focused on using literacy and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) to enhance students' communication skills and improve their access to learning environments.
Devin is passionate about supporting students in becoming as successful and independent as possible. Her experience with students with complex learning profiles allows her to promote growth through practical experiences that foster a well-rounded educational journey.
In her free time, Devin enjoys traveling, reading, spending time outdoors, and cheering for all of Philadelphia's sports teams.
