Devin McGrath

Lead Special Education Teacher

Devin is originally from the Philadelphia area and earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education/Special Education and American Studies from La Salle University in 2017. She later obtained a master’s degree in Special Education Intervention from Winthrop University in 2021. In July 2017, Devin moved to Washington, D.C., to work at a special education public charter school in Southeast D.C., serving students with complex educational, medical, and communication needs.

Devin has presented at several conferences, including the ASHA: American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Convention in 2019, where she focused on using literacy and AAC to enhance students' communication abilities and improve their access to learning environments. She is passionate about supporting students to help them achieve success and independence.

With extensive experience working with students with complex learning profiles, Devin excels in fostering student growth through practical experiences that provide a comprehensive educational experience. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, spending time outdoors, and cheering for all the Philadelphia sports teams.
