Occupational Therapy

What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapy helps children build the skills necessary for everyday activities, such as getting dressed, holding a pencil, or managing their emotions. It’s about enabling children to participate in their daily lives with greater ease and independence. OT focuses on areas such as:

Fine Motor Skills: Improving hand-eye coordination and dexterity for tasks like writing, using utensils, or playing with toys.

Gross Motor Skills: Strengthening core stability and balance for activities such as jumping, climbing, or riding a bike.
Sensory Integration: Helping children process and respond appropriately to sensory input, whether it's noise, textures, or movement.

Self-Care Skills: Teaching strategies for dressing, eating, and hygiene routines.

Social and Emotional Regulation: Developing tools for managing emotions and interacting with peers in positive and meaningful ways.
